A group of developers have initiated redevelopment plans for the heart of the River District. This first phase focuses on rehabilitating existing buildings, and creating community space out of underutilized private property. The first phase highlights community/event space with a strong tie to pedestrian oriented retail/restaurant opportunities. Phase one projects have already acted as a catalyst for further interest in private development in terms of a more comprehensive redevelopment plan.
